How much memorization is necessary?

Hello, we are currently in lesson 16 of Latin 1 & I am wondering if we need to be sure to memorize each chart that is given in the lessons before moving on to the next lesson. Back towards the beginning we did not memorize the chart with the different forms of the words for one, two & three. I figured we would keep working on it while moving forward but we never did get it down. Same with the charts of the interrogative and relative pronouns, should we get those down before moving on?? We do have the case endings memorized and the typical present tense verb endings, but will it hurt us to move forward without memorizing everything else?
We have been enjoying learning Latin together, thank you for this resource. And thank you for your time as well!
